What examples of figurative language and sound effects can you find in the book? Put the example in quotation marks, list the page number, and tell what type it is.

Passages:

Which passages are significant in the book? Why? Quote the passage, give the page #, and explain the importance.

Techniques:

What techniques does the author use to develop setting, characters, plot, etc.?

Evaluate:

What are your comments/opinions/observations about how the book is written?

Interpret:

What is your interpretation/analysis of the book?

Faith Response:

What aspects (or lack there of) of the Catholic/Christian faith can you identify in the novel? Discuss any connections you can make.
